Windows XP

To change your Urban dialup access number and username in Windows XP use the following steps:

Step 1: Opening Network and Internet Connections

1. Click Start
2. Select Settings
3. Select Control Panel
   
4. Double-click Network and Internet Connections.
   
   (If you are using Windows XP Classic view please follow the Windows 2000 instructions.)
   

Step 2: Changing your username.

1. Double-click Internet Options
   
2. Click on the 'Connections' tab.
3. Select your Urban Internet Connection and click Settings
   
4. In the username change your username to username@urban.net.au. (where username is your Urban username)
   

Step 3: Changing your Dialup Number

1. On the Connection to Urban Settings screen, click the Properties button. You will be taken to the Connection Properties screen.
2. In the Phone Number field enter 0198 379 000
3. Ensure that 'Use dialing rules' is unticked.
   
4. Click OK, and then click OK again until you are back in the control panel.

You have now completed all of the neccessary changes, please disconnect and dial up using the new connection.
